Hope I am in the correct area here.
I have not used site designer for quite some time and today i needed to make some minor adjustments to my webpage.
I made the changes but I could not save..........an error message came up as follows: access to AppData\Roaming\ftpfile.dat was denied.
I tried uninstalling/reinstalling but still the same ....................also i dont seem to be able to preview or publish the file either. I have tested my ftp settings and that came back ok ?? Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction. Many thanks

Configure the shortcut to always run as administrator. Here's how:

1. Right-click the shortcut icon, and click Properties.
2. Click the Compatibility tab.
3. Here, put a check mark by Run This Program as an Administrator.
4. Next, put a check mark next to Run This Program in Compatibility Mode For: and ensure Windows XP Pro Service Pack 2 is selected.
5. Click OK. I can't hear what I'm looking at.

I'm having constant crashing problems. :( Using xp pro & VSD latest as downloaded two days ago. When removing text from the pages it locks up. At least 15 times in past two days after trying everything including downloading with different browsres, etc. I have already created a page at www.hoteljonas.com but having a very hard time editing after most of the project went pretty smooth in the beginning, any suggestions? I've also had problems where it said it could not save the file and had to be restarted, thanks. Mike

It doesn't come up! Only 95, 98, nt & 2000. Is it possible I'm having problems from a previous version? It's extremely annoying, it's changing graphics around on it's own as well as other problems. I deleted my previous version which wasn't updated in years, don't know maybe 3.0? Thanks

I have removed it, cleaned my registry and re-installed program, same thing! Only shows 95 98 NT 2000

Yes I did. Even the properties of the freshly loaded unlaunched program icon are the same way.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
