I wish to add a slideshow to my website built with VSD and as far I can tell so far is that to have a slideshow with music and other things it needs to be video. Is it possible to add a video to VSD? If not how else can a slideshow with music be added?

Anything you can add to an HTML page you can add to VSD. All it is is an HTML page.

Short answer, yes! You can have video. You can also just have a slideshow with music. You can have both!

Lots of options. You can create and host your own video, or you can link to and/or embed a youtube or vimeo video.
