Adding to or changing multiple pages...

I'm just getting started with VSD. Is there a way to add to or change multiple pages at once. For example, if I have some text links in a footer that is the same on all pages, is there way I can change them all at once? Or I do I need to change them on each page separately? Also, if there's HTML code I want to add to multiple pages, do I have to edit each page separately?

Hi there slrosen,

Unfortunately there is no way to change on multiple pages at once. Same if you want to add html to multiple pages. You will need to go to each page one at a time and add the code.

You can however use a few of the workarounds that users have come up with to get around this. Iframes or php includes are two of the most popular. If your hosting on S-Drive the php direction will not be available.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

Also, if you copy and paste, whatever you copied should paste in the exact same place on the next page so you don't have to realign if your pages are the same. This works well if you don't have a ton of pages, or don't mind taking the time to do it.

Very good suggestion David. I also do this all the time :) I should really do server includes especially on my larger websites.

David, thanks for the copy/paste suggestion. That's what I've been using. It hasn't been too bad so far, because I don't have a lot of pages yet. It does help a lot that it pastes in place.

No problem! That's how I put up a quick change every once in a while.
