I am sorry, but we have no plans to move away from PHP at this time.

Scott it might be a good idea to let people know on your shopping cart page that they will need a dedicated or virtual server to run the shopping cart software on Go Daddy per their response to your requirements. Prices from $39 a month to $79 a month seem to be the norm?

I pay around $7.00 a month for my hosting with GoDaddy and never ran into any problems.

Hello
I am a web developer with a growing list of E-commerce clients and
a long term fan of coffeecup. In my world however due to various banking
policies it's rarely about the cart features - it's all about the choice of
payment gateways. When the software supports a significant number of
the major players in this area it will have arrived as a serious contender.

You'll be pleased to know Scott, that I have finally sorted the problem with the software going to the 'wrong' PayPal screen. YIPPEE...

Cleaned SCC completely from my system, shutdown the firewall then reinstalled. For some reason it is now all fully working again.
Will is once again a happy bunny.

Incidentally SCC is one of the few pieces of shopping cart software that has a direct path to PayPal (and Google), so I am rather pleased it operational again. The long winded checkout processes on some other carts seem to ask for everything but your shoe size. Not good if you want to avoid shopping cart abandonment.
Multi tasking is a way of life for me, contrary to whatever my girlfriend may say. :-)
Hi Scott, I'm wanting to set up a small woodworking business from home and thought SCC would be a good way to put wares 'out there' as I live a long way from 'civilised' society. I don't have (and don't want) merchant choices for PayPal etc. I want to only accept payments direct to my personal bank account. I've been 'tooling around' with SCC and can't seem to find an option to replace the built in merchant card choices with a direct credit facility where I would simply provide my BSB and Account number. It is a very good piece of software.
Thanks

I can relate to the security software issue too Will, i use PC Tools Spyware Doctor and have to turn off the IntelliGuard whenever I do any installations until they get it fixed again. They are aware of the problem, so anyone else using PC Tools Spyware Doctor if you're having installation problems, just turn off IntelliGuard when you install things, then turn it back on and you should be set to go.

Scott, Looks to be an error in the HOW-TO-INSTALL-SHOPPING CART-THEMES.txt file.
File Instructs installation for:
Windows Vista/Windows 7 at:
C:\Users\{username}\CoffeeCup Software\Documents\CoffeeCup Software\Shopping Cart\Themes
Should actually be:
C:\Users\{username}\Documents\CoffeeCup Software\Shopping Cart\Themes
Also, for some reason new themes Blue Skies, Grandpas Shoes and Fleur-de-Lis are not being listed in the Shopping Cart Program Themes.
When starting the Shopping Cart program it warns that these themes are out of date or contain modifications that are not compatible with this version of Shopping Cart Creator.
Thought you might want to know.

Mike,
Direct payments are not an option at this time on SCC. I'd really suggest looking into either PayPal or Google payment methods. Neither are very expensive, although they do take a piece of the pie. Statistics are pretty high for on-line shoppers using either form of payment.

Blue Skies, Grandpas Shoes and Fleur-de-Lis you need to download from our Website at
http://www.coffeecup.com/help/myorders/themes as they have all been updated to work with the new version of Shopping Cart Creator.
Thanks for mentioning that path problem. I will check into that.
