Although you should be able to just install the new version directly over the old one, I always suggest uninstalling any previous versions first. If you don't uninstall, then there's always a slight chance that something doesn't get overwritten and the software could act funny.

Hi.
This new version of HTML Editor does not recognized Scandinavian letters Ö or Ä. Just showing blocks in web-pages. How should I correct this problem?

If you set the character set to "iso-8859-1", the Scandinavian characters will be properly shown. If you run the Code Cleaner, make sure you check the box for character encoding "Latin-1" in the Document tab, or the char set will change back to default, which I believe is UTF-1.
According to specs, UTF-1 should represent the Scandinavian, as well as special Portuguese, French, etc. characters, but this has never worked consistently for me. I don't believe that it is an issue with version or Build of the HTLM editor.
Good luck! Per

Yeah, I found out this new version automatically adds line META content="text/html; charset=unicode" http-equiv=Content-Type which old version didn't. Since I use WYSIWYG, I have to change (remove) it manually in Code Mode.
Thanks!

Would you please tell me how to uninstall the program. All I get is the "cannot find install.log" message?
