RE: -VNU file is uploaded with your Website for backup purposes

Is there a way to have the vnu file that is uploaded overwrite the previous (older)vnu file that has been uploaded? I had more vnu files on on the server than actual html web pages...didn't realize that was happening until I logged on using Direct FTP.
Thanks

We do this to protect your Website. If we overwrote the file each time and that file became corrupt, you would have nothing to restore from.

Scott, do I understand it, that if I have a dozen (or more) of these 'old' vnu files, I could delete, say the oldest 10 - or more?
thanks

Hi Scott,

I like the new ability to backup the vnu file, is there a possiblity of having VSD backup to a location of the users preference....possibly to a usb stick, SD card or other backup drive.
I currently use two programs that always backup when exiting and both allow the user to define a backup location or except the default location...both allow the user to manage the backup files.
Then there is always the windows restore feature if all else fails. :(
Thanks

Hi Scott.
It should be against the law to release any computer program without a spell checker.
both the shopping cart and visual site designer need one!

Why...?... And in how many languages ? And are you willing to pay for this ? Just use your favorite wordprocessor and its spelchecker. Use the Cut/Paste function to get it in ... whatever programm.

can I use site designer to add pages to a already existing site done with dreamweaver or front page

Peter, you have to recreate the site with VSD or you can import the site from dreamweaver or frontpage with coffeecup html editor. We humans are full of unpredictable emotions that logic alone cannot solve.
