First, on behalf of the entire CoffeeCup Team, I'd like to thank all of you for playing our little game. It's been a total blast. :D

Honestly, we're a little surprised the Golden Egg has lasted this long. There have been some clever people searching our site, and a few people were close over the weekend, but they missed it 'by that much'.

We know everyone wants the Golden Egg, so here are a few tips so make your search a little easier.
  • Sign in to your account now: We've seen a few people find an egg and start to claim it, only to be delayed slightly by the sign in process. While they were signing in, someone else claimed the egg. Don't let this happen to you.
  • It can't be found by posting in the forums: Unlike some eggs, the Golden Egg cannot be found by putting anything in a forum post.
  • It isn't in any forum avatar: In the spirit of the game, several people have used various eggs as, or in their avatars. While entertaining, they will not lead you to a prize.
  • Once it's gone, it's gone: We've throughly tested claiming the Golden Egg in every browser we can get our hands on. We know it works. If you get an error claiming the egg, you didn't win. If you 'think' you've won, you didn't. If you find the Golden Egg you'll know it without a doubt.
  • Our support staff cannot answer questions about the Egg Hunt. To be fair to everyone, we will only discuss the hunt for the Golden Egg in this forum thread, on Facebook, and on Twitter.
  • The hints will be difficult, use them all.

You may discuss the Golden Egg Hunt here.

First hint coming soon... J Cornelius - VP of Operations, CoffeeCup Software

Here's the first hint:

It's been used and abused. This clue will show the egg to you. J Cornelius - VP of Operations, CoffeeCup Software

All the eggs have been claimed. We've removed them all from the Website and will post a summary of where they were and how they could be found here later.

Thanks again for playing everyone! :D J Cornelius - VP of Operations, CoffeeCup Software

Thanks so much for playing our little game. We had a lot of fun, and judging from the feedback here, on Facebook, and Twitter, everyone else did too. :D:D

Here are answers for some of the hints:

It's been used and abused. This clue will show the egg to you.

This was referring to the Konami Code, arguably the most popular 'cheat code' of all time.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In a place where trials are free,
if a metal safe you see,
counting sunwise, steps of three,
yes your patience may be sliding,
click refresh after your biding,
a smiling egg comes out of hiding.
This was a reference to the LockBox Free Trial Download page. "Sunwise steps of three" refers to positions 3, 6, 9, and 12 on a clock, meaning every 15 minutes.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Did you know the eggs like e. e. cummings?

Meant as an instruction that all your guesses should be entirely in lowercase.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Find the author of this phrase, you'll find something the chicken lays:
Don't take a curve at 60 per we hate to lose a customer.
A peach looks good with lots of fuzz, a man's no peach and never was.
Both references to 'burma shave'. Searching for 'burma shave' in the support articles would find the egg.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

A sitemap would't have helped him,
the Internet didn't exist then,
if he'd had a real map, even one made of burlap,
perhaps he'd have missed that island!
Enter this name in a thread, and an egg you'll be fed.

The name was 'jacob roggeveen', the man that accidentally discovered Easter Island. Typing this in a forum post unlocked the egg.

Our winner, Vinnie Tebano, decided to split his bounty with Miriam, one of our users from these very forums. She in turn decided to pledge her share of the winnings to the Multiple Sclerosis foundation in the name of yet another user (and very loyal one, at that) MIke Dowd. Below you can see scans of the checks to them. As you can imagine, Mike was happy.

Again, thanks to everyone who played. We'll have to do something like this again soon (we're already planning the next one). :D J Cornelius - VP of Operations, CoffeeCup Software
