I have a friend that I told about the hunt, and he really wants to find the golden egg, but he doesn't have an account.

You'll need an account to actually claim the egg and creating one involves a few steps you won't want to go through IF you find it. We suggest you create an account (it's free) and sign in before you search so IF you find it the claiming process can be as smooth as possible.
