Adding Images
To insert an image, click on the 
button. Then you can browse your computer for the image you want to insert. After inserting the image, you will notice that Image 1 appears in the cutting room. If you want to select your image, click on Image 1 in the Cutting room.
Once the image is inserted you may wish to make the image "transparent" so the image's background does not interfere with the background of the movie. To do this, click on the transparency tool.
From this tool, you can select the color on the image you want to be "invisible" so objects behind the image will show through. Note that transparency will not be apparent within the Firestarter program, only when you play the movie.
Opacity is similar to transparency, as it allows objects behind the image to show through. However, instead of selecting a color you wish to be completely transparent, the entire image becomes transparent, to the degree selected here.
If you have an image editor on your computer, by clicking on the image editor button, you can edit this image with this outside program. Firstarter has some basic effects you can apply to the image, either using the image color tool or by applying special effects to the image by clicking on the Manipulation button. You may wish to have a backup of the image before you apply one of these, because any changes you make will be permanent.
