Not only does Direct FTP have the ability to upload files, it also comes with a fully functional html editor. For the most part, the editor functions just like any plain text editor, such as notepad in Windows. However, the Direct FTP has a few unique features that separate it from the rest of the field.

Drag and drop file opening

By dragging files from windows under "My Site" or "My Server," you can open these files in the editor. This will allow you to download html files from your site, make a few quick changes, and then upload them again.

Color codes

The editor can color code your html tags, making the html code easier to read and edit.

HTML quick buttons

To make HTML coding easier, there are a set of buttons that will insert bits of code for you, as well as preview your web page in your default browser.

To insert code for bold, italic, or underlined text.

To change the font style.

For text alignment, line and paragraph breaks.

Insert an image.

Insert a link.

Use this button to Configure Hot Keys.

This button will generate hex values for colors.

Allows you to preview your page in your default browser.
