Server profile definitions
Name:
» This is a name you would use to distinguish
this profile from other profile - whatever you
enter here will not effect your connection to
your
FTP server.
Hostname Address:
»
This is the address of your
FTP server. More
than likely, this will be something like:
'ftp.mywebhost.com' or 'mywebhost.com'.
If you are also assigned a directory like:
'ftp.mywebhost.com/me' make sure that you
do not enter the '/me', save this for the
remote starting directory.
Username and Password:
»
Make sure that you have correct Username and
password issued to you by your webhost.
Local Starting Directory:
»
whatever you enter here will not effect your
connection to your
FTP server.
Remote Starting Directory:
»
If you are assigned a webdirectory such
as 'ftp.mywebhost.com/me' you will enter
everything past the slash '/' here. In this
example, you would enter 'me'
If you do not have a remote start directory,
either leave it blank, or put a period (.) in
its place.
Use Firewall Friendly Operation:
»
Have this turned on if you are having problems
connecting to your web host.
