11001 in Request ConnectAsync 500 Host not found Winsock #11001
1. Make sure you are connected to the Internet. A good way to test is to go to a website, and refresh the page.
2. Make sure that the hostname, to which you are trying to connect, is spelled correctly.
3. If your website is fairly new, the
DNS may have not propagated yet and the hostname you are using may not have an IP associated with it.
Try this: Start > Run > Type in CMD > Enter > Type PING yourdomainname.com. If it says "Ping request could not find host" or "Host not found" that means that the domain name you are trying to connect to, isn't working correctly.
At that point I would suggest contacting your Web hosting company. They may be able to provide you with your actual IP address to use until the
DNS has propagated.
