I receive a message about active content when trying to preview my site in Internet Explorer.

"To help protect your security, Internet Explorer has restricted this file form showing active content that could access your computer...."

If you are receiving the above message when you try to preview your website in Internet Exporer, this is an issue that has come up with the release of Service Pack 2 (SP2) for Windows XP.

You can turn this feature off by following the directions below.
1. Open Internet Explorer
2. Go to Tools > Internet Options > Advanced tab
3. Scroll down the list until to see the Security Heading
4. You will need to make sure "Allow active content to run in files on My Computer" has a check next to it. (If you don't have a check, put one there.)
5. Click the Apply button then the Ok button.

That should do it.
