This section of the program will be added to as more updates are made available.  It basically defines some of the terminology used by the program.  

 

Saturation - Describes the amount of gray in a color: the more gray, the lower the saturation; the less gray, the higher the saturation.

 

Luminance - Perceived brightness of a color.

 

Hex Value - A hexadecimal (Hex) color is a six digit alpha numeric representation for colors on the web. The hex colors a browser safe colors that ensure cross browser / cross platform compatibility and consistency.

 

Websafe Colors - 216 colors which have been found to be the safe for use in all browsers.  However, with the wider usage of higher color monitors, these 216 colors are slowly being replace with millions of colors.
